I was with the 1/4 Cav, C Troop 1st platoon from October 1967 to June 1968. My tank was C 1-4. During my time on this tank some of the crew were, Jim McGinley, Mike McDermott, Sgt. Smith, Ira Clarke and of course myself, Nat (Iggy) Cognato. I originally signed onto your website in 2000.
The polaroid picture of the tank that hit a mine, was me with the pants leg rolled up, and the tank crew. This mine hit was my second. The third hit was a combat lose, sometime at the end of April 1968. I have other pictures that I can send you if you like.
Bill, would you have any information on the battle that took place during TET on February 9th- 11th? I was in that battle but am not exactly sure where in the Iron Triangle it took place or if it had a specific battle name. Actually, I would appreciate any information you might have on any fire fights or major battles that took place from TET through May 1968 that C Troop was involved in.
